Illustrating the Rock Cycle

This was a project from a geology graduate student. We were tasked to create an animated video that can used within primary school to explain the rock cycle.

For this project, I developed the storyboard, marked down the transitions needed from scene to scene, and created the illustrations based on a given script and project brief.

I also collaborated with the in-house animation artist to ensure my illustrations fit his requirements for animation.

Inspiration

We wanted to keep this animation fun colorful since it was meant for primary school students. I chose this illustration style and mapped out the animations based on the given script.

This project was unfortunately never finished due to a funding cut, but I loved how the illustrations came out for this. Check out some of my favorite scenes below.
